Under Carolina Blue Skies

"Under Carolina Blue Skies"
Day 4 of 30/30
8"x6" oil on canvas panel
$75.00

Even though it is still summer, I thought I would mix it up a bit and slip in a snow scene.

I didn't have to travel far for this photo...it is a wooded park at the end of my street.  I love to walk in the snow because it reminds me of growing up in Michigan.  The sun was shining brightly with a beautiful Carolina blue sky above.  Go Heels!!!

Hope to see you tomorrow for Day 5 in my tree challenge.

Winters Gold

24"x30" Oil
Gallery Wrap

This cluster of buildings sitting in the snowy woods gives me a real sense of coziness and solitude.  All the cool blues, both in the shadows and on the rooftops, contribute to the comfortable yet wintry setting.  Yet the pops of gold let you be assured that the sun is still shining and hitting the sides of the buildings and warming the insides.  Wouldn't you just love to be holed up in this cozy place reading a good book while waiting for the spring thaws?
